The Beta Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the national pre-medical fraternity, was established at the University of North Carolina on 30 March 1936. The Chapter's goals were to foster the scholastic and social life of prospective medical students. The chapter organized lectures and seminars throughout the academic year.
